“Our deepest joy, the calling that’s in the very core of us, is to live our lives centered upon the Source of all life, rejoicing in everything that gives life.”

the spiritual exercises

of Saint Ignatius of Loyola

You are invited to consider* if it is time to journey through the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius, a Retreat in Daily Life toward your deepest joy.

*If you are already in a Spiritual Direction / Accompaniment relationship with me or another Director, contact me to begin the conversation. If you are not yet seeing a Spiritual Director, let’s start there! (click here)

The Spiritual Exercises invite you to

  • notice God’s work and gentle guidance in your life,

  • discover your divinely-placed desires,

  • learn to make decisions from a place of inner freedom,

  • explore your personal mission in the world.

This adaptation of the Exercises is often known as a Retreat in Daily Life, as it is designed to be integrated into one’s daily life (in contrast to a 30 day, residential silent retreat). The Exercises are spread out over a nine month period.

When Ignatius created the Exercises, he left room and freedom for them to be adapted as needed. My offering of these exercises will be a uniquely feminine, wonder-filled, and embodied approach, blending the works of traditional and modern resources from a variety of voices.

Your Retreat in Daily Life will include:

  • 9 months of daily prayer and meditation through the Exercises, including an imaginative immersion into the life of Jesus.

  • Weekly video (FaceTime or Zoom) meetings with me.

  • Weekly prayer materials and additional resources emailed to you.

  • A cozy welcome package mailed to you to inspire your Retreat.

Your Retreat in Daily Life will require:

  • A quiet place and time to pray and journal daily for about 45-60 minutes.

  • Access to the internet.

  • A journal.
